BLÜMCHEN – which is the german word for „tiny flowers“ – is all about the yarn => rustic Nutiden by Honor och Eir. It is extra special, a pre-yarn, natural, sheepy but soft at the same time.
The tiny flowers „grow“ in a garter stitch background – you just knit, there are no purl stitches, that´s why the shawl is completely reversible.
The wider the shawl gets, the more flowers are in one „row of flowers“ .
Although I recommend a „Nutiden experience“ to everybody who is able to get their hands on some Nutiden skeins, the pattern works with any yarn, any needle size, any gauge - just go on knitting until you reach your desired size !

BLÜMCHEN ist eine Hommage an das wunderbare, rustikale Garn „Nutiden“ von Hönor och Eir.
Viele, viele kleine Blümchen wachsen auf einem kraus rechts gestrickten Hintergrund – ein wunderbarer Gegensatz von verspieltem Muster und rustikalem Garn. Es gibt keine linken Maschen – das Tuch ist deshalb von beiden Seiten tragbar.
Umso weiter das Tuch wird, desto mehr Blümchen „blühen“ in einer Reihe – von 3 Blümchen ganz am Anfang bis zu 39 Blümchen in der letzten Reihe.
Wer Nutiden Garn ergattern kann, sollte dieses tolle Garn auch nehmen – dennoch kann das Tuch natürlich auch mit jedem anderen Garn, jeder Nadelstärke und in jeder Größe gestrickt werden.
