Spring is in the air and the ocean is calling…
While the other two designs in this collection are more feminine and stylish, this jumper in maritime colours combines traditional elements of fishermen’s garments with a casual modern shape. “Lyonesse” is a mythical island in the Atlantic Ocean to the west of Cornwall. The Isles of Scilly may very well be the remnants of it… so why not grab your jumper and hop onto a boat!

Sizing / yarn requirements: See bottom picture for detailed sizing and yardage table.
The sweater is meant to be worn with at least 10 cm = 4 inches of positive ease around the bust. The pattern contains detailed advice for individual adjustments.
The sweater is shown in size S3 on a person with a 84 cm / 33” bust and a 90 cm / 35” hip.

Yarn advice:
The original sweater was knitted with Blacker Yarns Lyonesse DK (110 m / 119 yds per 50g) in colours “Sapphire”, “Lapis”, “Moonstone” and “Aquamarine”.
For a nice drape in the main fabric and for crisp stitch definition in the textured areas, use a smooth yarn with some weight to it. Wool blends with plant fibre, e.g. linen or cotton, are particularly recommended.

Needle advice:
Use the needle sizes that give you the required gauge, most likely 3.5-4 mm / US #4-6.

Construction:
This garment has a top down, seamless, modular construction that allows you to adjust all lengths and widths quite easily and to use up all your yarn in the best possible way.
Please note: The lower body can easily be lengthened, and you can decide this on the fly by trying the garment on. You will need more yarn than listed for your size.

Frühling liegt in der Luft und das Meer ruft…
Während die anderen beiden Designs in dieser Kollektion eher feminin und elegant sind, kombiniert dieser Pullover in maritimen Farben traditionelle Elemente von Fischerpullovern mit einem lässigen modernen Schnitt.
Lyonesse ist eine mythische Insel im Atlantik, westlich von Cornwall. Wer weiß, vielleicht sind die Scilly-Inseln die Überreste davon… also schnapp dir deinen Pulli und nimm das nächste Boot!

Der Pullover ist mit mindestens 10 cm Mehrweite an der Brust konzipiert. Die Anleitung enthält detaillierte Informationen zur individuellen Anpassung.
Die Photos zeigen den Pullover in Größe S3 an einer Person mit 84 cm Brustumfang und 90 cm Hüftumfang.

Garnhinweise:
Der Originalpullover wurde mit Blacker Yarns Lyonesse DK (110 m / 50g) in den Farben “Sapphire”, “Lapis”, “Moonstone” und “Aquamarine” gestrickt.
Für einen schönen Fall und ein klares Maschenbild beim Ärmelmuster sollte ein glattes und nicht zu leichtes Garn verwendet werden. Wollmischungen mit Pflanzenfasern, z.B. Leinen oder Baumwolle, sind besonders geeignet.

Nadeln:
Verwende die Nadelstärke, mit der die angegebene Maschenprobe erreicht wird, wahrscheinlich, wahrscheinlich 3.5-4 mm.

Konstruktion:
Der Pullover wird von oben nach unten nahtlos in einer modularen Konstruktion gestrickt, die es möglich macht, alle Längen und Breiten sehr einfach anzupassen und das vorhandene Garn auf effiziente Art und Weise aufzubrauchen.
Hinweis: Der untere Teil des Körpers kann ganz einfach verlängert werden - anprobieren und spontan entscheiden! Wenn der Körper verlängert wird, wird natürlich mehr Garn benötigt als für die entsprechende Größe angegeben.
