B.O.B. is knit from the center out, changing from double pointed needles to circulars as the circumference grows.

It´s knit using sock yarn scraps held double for a marled effect.

What you will need:

  • 900 grams / 3780 meters of fingering weight yarn scraps (420 m / 100 g)

  • 5 mm double pointed needles, 5 mm - 80 cm and 120 cm circular knitting needle

  • 1 stitch marker

  • tapestry needle for weaving in ends

The finished size is approximately 150 cm in diameter.

If you want to use worsted weight yarn instead, you will need the same amount of yarn in grams, but only half in meterage, as you won´t hold the worsted weight yarn double.

You can basically use any yarn you want, with the needle that gives you the fabric you like. Keep in mind that changing the yarn weight will result in a different gauge and therefore a different amount of yarn needed!
