The Bobble Christmas Tree Stocking combines fun textures and a minimal, slightly rustic design to make a cozy addition to your Christmas mantle!
This stocking has a slightly rustic, farmhouse vibe and is worked in one piece from the toe up in rounds, then rows for the heel, and then back to rounds (it’s not as tricky as it sounds!). The cuff and hanging tab are worked separately and then attached to the stocking. The main stitch is the half double crochet which gives a great minimal backdrop so the bobble Christmas Tree texture really POPS!
This download includes a written pattern, a chart for the Christmas Tree color work (detailing the stitch pattern and color changes), and helpful step-by-step pictures.

SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate: this pattern requires color changes and uses a variety of stitch techniques, including bobbles, increases and decreases and working in the back loop only. You will need to be familiar with working in the round and working in rows.
DIMENSIONS
The finished stocking is approximately 18” tall and 7” wide.
MATERIALS
About 325 yards of worsted weight yarn (4) for the body of the stocking. I used just under 2.5 balls of WeCrochet’s “Snuggle Puff’’ in the color Lamb.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Although Snuggle Puff is listed as a 4 weight yarn, it is categorized as “Heavy Worsted Weight” so if you are using a thinner 4 weight yarn, please be sure to check your gauge. I do recommend using Snuggle Puff or other “heavy” worsted weight yarn to ensure correct sizing.
About 50 yards of worsted weight yarn in a contrasting color for the tree bobbles. I used green scrap yarn. You will also need a small amount (2-3 yards) of brown yarn for the tree trunk.
