Bobble Lapghan or Bodyghan
This is a pattern that I created from an afghan given to me by my mom. It was made with rather large openings as it was decorative, not functional. I decided initially to make a lapghan for my mom while she convalesced from surgery at home. The lapghan then grew into a “bodyghan”! It is large enough to snuggle under while lying on a recliner or sofa. I also added a wide open foot pocket so she wouldn’t need to pull the bodyghan under her feet to keep snugly. Since the yarn was an ombre, I decided to design it with bobbles to add texture.
This pattern calls for worsted weight yarn and a size “I” crochet hook. Please note that the yardage is an estimate. Since I had repurposed another afghan, the amount may not be accurate. Also keep in mind the different amount based on how big you are making this. My final project weighed 3.2 pounds.
This is my original work. You may use for personal use, gifting or to make and sell. Please give proper credit for this and do not resell this pattern.
Please do reach out to me for any questions or help. I hope you enjoy this pattern!
Thanks so much and enjoy!
