Bobby Blanket - Father's Day
Full-size Father’s Day-inspired blanket! An amazing gift that will be treasured for years to come!
Five design panels include:
Word – STRONG
Word – SAFE
Word – STABLE
Symbol – FISH
Symbol - BOAT
Mix and match the panels to create your own unique design!
The panels of this pattern can be mixed and matched with ANY of my other FULL-SIZE patterns!
Materials: 6mm hook, 2300-2600yds of yarn, tapestry needle for sewing ends, (optional) stitch markers for counting, scissors
Stitches used: (US Terminology) chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, bean stitch (optional)
Gauge: Gauge is not particularly important to this pattern. If you are a tight crocheter, go up at least 1 hook size in order to achieve the flexibility of a snuggly blanket.
Numerical Filet Explained:
• Numerical filet is a system of numbers and commas, where numbers are the amount of double crochet stitches, and commas represent “chain 1, skip 1 stitch”
• Do not make a “chain 1, skip 1 stitch” unless you see a comma
• Example:
o Row reads: 32 , 55 , 3 , 14 , 43
o Translation: place 32 double crochet stitches, then chain 1 and skip 1 space, then place 55 stitches, then chain 1 and skip 1 space, then place 3 double crochet stitches, chain 1 skip 1 space, place 14 double crochet stitches, chain 1 skip 1 space, place 43 double crochet stitches
I want everyone to feel comfortable with being able to read my pattern style, so here is a small pattern segment to give you a better idea of how I write my patterns.
Pattern Segment:
Row 19 – 51 , 17 , 40 , 40
