Similar to the Reverse Miter pattern shown here on Ravelry, but it is satisfying to reduce the number of stitches as you go, instead of increasing them.

Starting the project in one color then switching to another part-way through makes an interesting L-shaped stripe because of the construction of the square cloth. Ombre colors also show the pattern nicely.

I use size 8 needles (because I have them) and cut down the size by casting on only 75 stitches instead of 83, so that each cloth takes just slightly less than 1 skein of Peaches & Cream yarn. Any even number + 3 could be used as the number of stitches to cast on. The Even Number you use, divided by 2, then becomes the number of stitches before the decrease in the middle. (75 = 72 + 3, and half of 72 is 36, so knit 36 stitches before making the decrease.)
