These socks were originally called Bob’s Lawnmowing Socks because of a very kind neighbour who offered to mow my lawn every week of summer until my house sold (it was on the market for eight months).

Bob’s no fashion plate and “understated” is a good description of his taste in clothing - both colour and style - yet when I asked if he’d like wild or conservative socks as a thank-you gift, he answered “wild” without missing a beat.
