This pattern is free for you to enjoy. My joy comes from knitting and giving back to the knitting community. If you would like to support the creation of future patterns, please consider making a small contribution via Paypal to: Paypal.me/Viktionary
Contributions go towards purchasing yarn for future designs and the occasional Earl Grey latte to keep the fires of creativity fueled. Regardless of whether you contribute or not, thank you for your support and kind words on my patterns.
When I knit scarves I want them to either be the same on both sides or at least be good looking on both sides, so I am always on the lookout for knit/purl motifs with a little textural interest that fit these criteria. This geometric motif fills those requirements and is easy to knit, which is also something I like in a scarf project. The resulting motif looked similar to piles or stacks of books, so I called this Bocastreon which is Old English for “library.”
