Boho Bucket Hat
When you can’t decide which hat you like best, you include both in the pattern!
Crochet hats can be fabulously floppy, which is awesome, until you want a hat that isn’t! I’m always dreaming of things I can make and wear in the warmer months, and usually like to crochet in the summer, soooo….enter the #bohobuckethat. I first created this design in tape yarn, which is so lovely for summer, but I really thought a lot of makers would want this in cotton also, so why make you choose??
Enter the ultimate summer accessory! This hat has the perfect amount of slouch, making it a true bucket style, and the yarn and needle size combo allows the brim to stay put without wires and NO flopping! It’s soft and flexible enough to toss in a tote bag, which makes it the perfect summer accompaniment, and the easy care yarn makes it washable! Win-win!
And because I couldn’t decide which hat I liked best, I have included both versions: one with tape yarn and one with cotton. Add a stripe, add more slouch, that part is up to YOU!
Both versions of the hat are created the same way, with two size options S/M (M/L) and a few variations of the brim. Simply select the yarn and the appropriate hook. There are also a ton of tips to help you get the perfect fit!
