This written pattern is based on our dog Sophia’s very small size. She is a 9-year-old 4-pound Chorkie (a half Chihuahua half Yorkshire terrier mix).

The pattern size can easily be modified to fit your pet. To make the pattern larger add 3 ch to your starting chain for every inch needed. To make it smaller subtract 3 ch from your starting chain for each inch smaller.

Sophia’s measurement was from her left elbow over her shoulder to her right elbow, and 16 inches elbow to elbow joint.

The yarn listed is a suggestion, any yarn that would be comfortable in worsted or Aran weight will work. Have fun and pick yarn to fit your dog’s personality!
