Inspired by all the gorgeous circular vests for
humans, now one for Dachshunds and other small dogs. With a simple mandala design, I created this pattern and sweater vests to donate and help a Non profit organization called Dachshund Friends In Deed. They help Dachshund owners in need with veterinary costs. Dachshunds are prone to back problems and Ivdd. Pattern has not been tested for errors or sizing. Written for 5 sizes: Extra small, 13.5 inches, (Mini 15.5 inches, Tween 18 inches, Standard 20 inches, Extra Large 22.5 inches) Finished measurements around chest directly behind front leg. The Tween size fits my 15.5 pound Doxie Daisy perfectly. I made adjustments to the pattern for sizing from there. The extra large fits a 25 pound mixed breed dog. The leg holes are designed to accommodate deeper chests of the breed.

Materials needed:Approximately 2 to 5 ounces yarn depending on size, sewing needle, 2 stitch markers, measuring tape.
