• These crochet coasters are worked in a spiral fashion beginning with a CH and then working down the chain, around the end, and back up the other side of the chain. A stitch marker is used to mark the beginning and end of each row.
• Gauge is not essential for this project. The finished coasters measure approximately 4.5″ x 4″ at the tallest and widest points BEFORE fringe and approximately 6″ x 6″ at the tallest and widest points AFTER fringe.
• Cotton yarn is recommended to be fully functional as a coaster in absorbing moisture.
• Parentheses indicate stitches that are to be worked into one stitch.
When working the tip of the heart, be sure to make the CH 1 LOOSELY. If the CH space is too small, it is difficult to insert the hook on the next row.
