I have designed this easy crochet bag with basic crochet stitches using US terminology of chains, single crochet, half double crochets and double crochet stitches so it is not complicated but still has an overall affect of looking fabulous. For UK crocheters there is a stitch conversion for you and separate stitch abbreviation and visual conversion for both US and UK crocheters.

This bag is constructed in 2 bottom sections that are joined together. The tassels and shoulder strap are added at the end. This bag also looks great without the tassels so if you want to leave them out that is totally up to you. For this pattern I have used a 10 ply chunky cotton yarn.

MATERIALS

CROCHET HOOK: METRIC: Size 5mm, USA: 8/H, UK: Size 6

I used 100% recycled cotton 200 gram yarn to complete this bag. As a guide I would suggest you will need approximately 5 balls of 50 gram yarn. Any yarn that is a chunky 10-12 ply approximately in cotton or cotton/acrylic would be suited to this project.

Darning needle to sew in ends.

Width Of Bag At The Widest Point: 30cm (This measurement was taken while bag was flat).

Depth Of Bag Middle Not Including Fringe: 27cm (This measurement was taken while bag was flat).
