Bokky Bag
For this pattern you need to understand the basics of overlay mosaic crochet.
Mosaic is worked in 2 colors, a pattern color and a background color. I added a 3rd color for fun accents.
A chart is available for the body of the bag.
Because of the invisible close that I have choosen to use, the 1st st of each round will move up 1 square in the chart. That will take some getting used to. A green line in the chart indicates the 1st st of each round.
The repeat of the body of the bag is 20 st wide.
For the base of the bag you can use any round ,square or flat pattern you like as long as the total stitch count (before starting on the body of the bag)is a multiple of 20 st.
A round pattern for the base of the bag is included. This ends with 80 st. (If you like to make a larger bag, an add-on is available in which the base is extended to 120 st.)
I suggest to add the plastic lid of a yoghurt canister or old CD to the lining in the bottom of the bag to prevent the bottom from bulging out when the bag is filled.
Straps can be added like some of my testers have done. The I-cord that comes with the pattern functions both as a closure and as a handle to carry the little bag.
I hope you have fun making your own Bokky bag. To be sure that I get to admire your work, please us the tags @bokkyshome and #bokkybag when you post your version on social media.
