This is a variation of Susan Kolstad’s Tree-of-Life mitten pattern in the issue that just uses the bold flower part (the cuff chart from the Tree-of-Life pattern) as well as the braid on the cuff. From the picture and the pattern, the flower chart continues onto the palm, not a separate palm chart.

You will need three colors, a MC, a flower color (she used blue), and a “stem” color (she used black). The charts are easy to follow, and the directions for the braid are in the Tree-of-Life pattern but are also clear and easy to follow.
