The perfect pattern for anyone seeking a bold and bright sweater for a baby or young child, the lion motif is great for either a boy or a girl and whilst the simple striking colour work lends itself perfectly to stronger colours, it can easily be toned down to a more traditional “baby” palette.

This sweater used a sport-weight yarn knit on a fairly loose gauge which makes a lovely soft and pliable fabric for a young child however if you want a warmer more densely knit fabric a DK or even a light worsted can be used and still achieve the appropriate gauge.
