Bombshell Skirt
This skirt is very mini. You can, of course, make it longer to suit your taste. Or…make it shorter to suit your wild side. The dropped stitches give it a nice effect and automatically make it wider at the bottom. Want more flare? Add more drops! To be worn with attitude and style.
- “When choosing size, keep in mind that this fabric is very stretchy.”
- “Skirt is worked flat in two pieces, from hem to waistband casing.”
- “I have included the exact stitches I dropped for this skirt in the pattern, but you can drop stitches wherever you like. I chose these particular stitches to place the ladders mainly in the leg area.”
Under “Sizes,” the pattern says, “One size fits most,” because this fabric is very stretchy, but Ross gives slightly different instructions for four sizes. The possible finished waist measurements, unstretched, are 25, 28, 31, and 34.5 inches. The smallest calls for 2 balls of Yarn A (Berroco) and 1 ball of Yarn B (Cascade Fixation). The 28-inch one calls for 2 balls of each; the next size up calls for 3 of A and 2 of B; the largest calls for 4 of A and 3 of B.
The recommended colors are Berroco Plush in #1947, Bubblegum; and Cascade Fixation in #3077, Pink Lemonade. Other materials needed are one yard 1”-wide non-rolling elastic, and a sewing needle and thread.
