The Bonbon hat is worked from the brim to the crown. Brim is double-sided in rib stitches, utilizing the provisional cast on.

Yarn
・Worsted version: 2 balls of Gilliatt by De Rerum Natura (270 yards / 250 m per 100 g). One ball in MC, One ball in CC. The sample was knit in colorways Goeland (MC / light grey), and Poivre Blanc (CC / natural). Or 125 m of MC and 50 m of CC in worsted weight yarn.
・Aran version: 2 balls of Cyrano by De Rerum Natura (164 yards / 150 m per 100 g). One ball in MC, One ball in CC. The sample was knit in colorways Dore (MC / yellow), and Granit (CC / grey). Or 100 m of MC and 42 m of CC in aran weight yarn.
If you like only the Main-Color, please work the pattern as it is without changing the yarn.

Needles
Brim: US 4 (3.5mm), US 6 (4mm) circular needles, 16” (40 cm) long.
Crown: US 7 (4.5 mm) for worsted version. US 8 (5 mm) for aran version, circular needles, 16” (40 cm) long. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Worsted version: 10.5 stiches & 20 rows
Aran version: 10 stiches & 18 rows
in 2” / 5 cm in bonbon stitch on larger needle, after blocking.

Brim circumference: 19” / 48cm, unstretched.
Height: 9” / 22cm
