This tutorial contains :

  • traditional cast on ;
  • knitting in turning and shortened rows ;
  • the 11 or 22 rib (at your choice) ;
  • the “Braided Cable” stitch ;
  • forming the gnome-shaped crown ;
  • i-cord edging and the tie-cord straps ;

MATERIALS :
- circular needles №3,0mm and №2,5mm, and double pointed needles №
2,5mm for knitting the straps, knitting markers, sewing needle with big hole
for hiding the yarn tips.
The original is made of Italian bobbin yarn COTANGORA 100gr/300m
The yarn expenses: 40-90 gr, depends on your size and density. Always buy
an extra skein of yarn!
MY KNITTING DENSITY after WHT (the sample is knitted with a stockinette
stitch, №3,5mm needles)
22 sts. In 10 cm, where 1 cm = 2,2 sts
