How cute are these squishy chicks? Knit up these gorgeous chicks for a new baby. They are really easy to knit! These sweet little Spring Easter chicks would make a wonderful pram toy. Chicks are shown with beads as the eyes, but you can easily make them safe for babies by replacing the beads with embroidery.
Unique features
This pattern is very versatile as you could knit these up as individual toys, or pram toys for example. ‘Bonnie’ Chicks / Hens will appeal to babies, children, teens and adults alike as they are soooo adorable! Chicks are shown in White, Pale Blue, and Rose Pink, with Pink wings and Blue Combs and Tails, although you can knit ‘Bonnie’ Chicks up in any colour you like! The creative possibilities are endless with different colours of yarn!

Chick / Hen Body: 10.5cm length x 6cm height.

(A) 1 x 50g/71m balls - Anchor Style Bamboolo. (Aran / 10 ply weight). Shade 00001 White.
(B) 1 x 50g/71m balls - Anchor Style Bamboolo. (Aran / 10 ply weight). Shade 01031 Pale Blue.
(C) 1 x 50g/71m balls - Anchor Style Bamboolo. Aran / 10 ply weight). Shade 00893 Rose Pink.
(D) 1 x 50g/114m ball – Cygnet Essentially Cotton DK. Shade 115 Shrimp.
(E) 1 x 100g/216m ball – King Cole Smooth DK. DK / 8 ply weight). Shade 856 Cornflower Blue.
(F) 1 x 100g/216m ball – King Cole Smooth DK. DK / 8 ply weight). Shade 800 Pale Pink.
2 x 2.75mm knitting needles.
Round end small tapestry needle.
6 x 5mm Round Black Beads.
A small quantity of Black yarn in place of the beads if you are making the toys for a baby.
Hollow fibre filling.
Skills needed to complete this item
Cast-on/Cast-off, Knit, Purl, Pass stitch over, Knit in to the front and the back of a stitch.
