This little shawlette is based on the beautiful
Torreyana Shawl designed by Elizabeth Freeman.
I absolutely love the design of this shawl, but I wanted to put it in different shape, because the shallow fichu shape is more comfortable for me :).
So I knitted it all in one piece from top to bottom adjusting the pattern to fit the shape, that’s why I called it “Bonsai”, because like with Bonsai you can take a small evergreen tree and shape it to the image in your mind, I took the beautiful “Pine” shawl and shaped it a bit differently :)
You’ll find this pattern to be for advanced knitters, at least not the first shawl for sure.
