Finished size: Height: 5.5 inches, Width: 3.5 inches.
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
hdc=half double crochet
sts =stitch(es)
sl st=slip stitch
f/o=fasten off
Materials Required: I used special by style craft double-knit yarn, 100% premium acrylic (yards161 /metrs147).
50g skein grey
4mm/G hook
Ribbon: Length is dependent on the required size book (colour and width your choice).
Yarn needle, stitch marker, scissors and rustproof pins.
Pattern notes:
• You can use this pattern to crochet a book cover for any size book, the only change is the size of the chain you start with, taking this into consideration you may need to use more or less yarn.
• You can use any colour yarn.
• Crochet each row in hdc, at the end of each row ch2, turn,
• Ch2 at end of each row does not count as a st.
• In row1 (blo) means sc in the little humps at the back of the chain.
• Outside edge of book cover is crochet using sc.
• When you have finished making your book cover you will need to block your work the instructions for this are at the end of the pattern, weave in all ends.
• The instructions below are for the size book I used (Height: 5.5 inches, Width: 3.5 inches) you can use any size book, if you are using a different size book, substitute the amount of chains you crochet at the beginning for the amount you need, you will also have a different number of sts at the end of each row.
