This Advanced Beginner Cardigan Pattern is great for anyone who wants to try a cardigan pattern for the first time.

There is an option within the pattern to add pockets!

The Techniques you would need to know for this pattern are:
Cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, K1FB (Increase: Knit 1 front and back), cast off, mattress stitch seaming.

GAUGE
12 sts x 18 rows = 4” (10cm) worked in Double Moss Stitch with larger needles.

SUPPLIES
Smaller Needles - US 9/5.5mm needles
Larger Needles - US 10.5/6.5mm needles.
(Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.)
Tapestry needle, scissors, clip on stitch markers and a measuring tape.

SIZES
XSmall, Small, Medium, Large, XLarge, 2XLarge, 3XLarge, 4XLarge, 5XLarge, 6XLarge.

To Fit Bust: 30” (34”, 38”, 42”, 46”, 50”, 54”, 58”, 62”, 66”).
Finished Bust Circumference: 38” (42”, 46”, 50”, 54”, 58”, 62”, 66”, 70”, 74”).

Length: 25” (25”, 26”, 26”, 27”, 27”, 28”, 28”, 29”, 29”).

Note: This cardigan is meant to have an oversized fit, about 8” in positive ease.
A great way to figure out a good fit is to measure the bust and length of one of your own sweaters or cardigans that you love and match to the measurements above as best as you can.

For reference: I am shown in photos above wearing a size Large. I have a 37” bust and am 5’6” tall.

Bulky Weight (#5 Bulky/Chunky)
Suggested fiber: Lionbrand Hue & Me
(80% Premium Acrylic, 20% Sheep Wool; 137yd 125m/4.4oz125g).
Yardage used for each size: 822 (959, 1096, 1096, 1233, 1233, 1370, 1507, 1507, 1644) yards.
Skeins of suggested fiber used for each size: 6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 11, 11, 12) skeins.
