Books & Bridges
I love reading and I am a teacher. Two reasons why I believe books can take you to destinations and dreams you never thought possible. The design of this asymmetrical shawl grew out of this concept. The brioche sections represent the books on a shelf. The stockinette/garter sections are the bridges. Then, the shawl finishes with a brioche lace design that represents pathways intertwining and shooting forth to parts unknown. The shawl starts at the corner and increases at the end of right side rows. I hope you enjoy!
Included with the pattern is a Brioche Picture Reference Guide for all the brioche stitches used in the pattern.
