My walking commute takes me along the Manchester Ship Canal, whose skyline is an ever-changing collection of cranes, sunrises and sunsets, seagulls and new buildings springing up. This hat is in honour of my daily journeys, to keep you warm on yours.

Choose two highly contrasting colours of any DK and crack on! You’ll need about 30g of each yarn.

DESIGN NOTES

Techniques used: Long-tail cast on, working in the round, stranded colour work, charted instructions.
The floats at the back are never longer than 6 sts, but you may want to catch the unworked colour at the back on longer stretches.
