“Boone” is full of meaning for me. My family’s current house is within the Daniel Boone School District and right near Daniel Boone’s homestead. It is a beautiful house that my parents transformed from a dark and lonely place into a vibrant, eclectic, and all around lovely home. Whenever I return, I find that everything in the garden has grown a foot taller, and they’ve artfully rearranged the furniture.

It is also the last name of my great great grandmother, whose strength and force of will were legendary.
