Boot cuffs, boot toppers, boot liners, leg warmers… they have so many names. Whatever you call them, they add a cool decorative touch to any style of boot, without creating uncomfortable bulk around your feet. They will also cushion your bare leg from the rubbing that some boot tops can cause.

These three boot cuffs are all quite different, but all begin the same way. Dress up your boots this winter and be on trend with these three unique designs. Boot cuffs make great last-minute gifts too!
Daisy Daisy is knitted, with daisy stitch & a simple picot edge.
Ten Cables is knitted with a very basic cable design that wraps around.
(Both of these have a choice of knitted or crochet bind-off edge.)
Caerwyn Flower has a knitted sock for comfort, but the decorative top is all crochet. (This design can be matched as a set with my Caerwyn Sleevies pattern.)

These are all constructed in the round, with two ribbing choices
and two length options.

TOOLS & YARN REQUIRED
• DK 8ply or worsted 10ply wool or wool blend (for all versions)
• fingering 4ply cotton (for caerwyn flower cuff only)
• 4.0mm knitting needles (30cm circ used) - if you are working the tubular cast on only
• 5.0mm knitting needles (30cm circ used)
• cable needle (for ten cables cuff only)
• 3.5mm crochet hook (for daisy daisy or ten cables optional crochet bind off)
• 3.0mm crochet hook (for caerwyn flower cuff only)
• narrow blunt yarn needle

GAUGE & FINISHED SIZE
• approx 6 stitches and 8 rows to 3cm square, in rib pattern (spread out flat)
• “one size” will fit most adult women unless your calf is very slim or broad (the rib has a lot of ease)
if you want a smaller or larger size, try changing your needle or yarn size
