Boot cuffs are a fantastic way to use up those lone skeins of worsted weight yarn that aren’t good for much else. Quick to make (you can make a pair in an evening), they are a fun way to give your boots a new look and an extra layer of warmth. And they are just darn cute!!

This pattern contains directions for 3 different designs of boot cuffs:

Knit-Look Cuffs uses a stitch called the “camel stitch” to mimic the knitted stockinette stitch. It may be new to you, but it’s not difficult. (Directions and a link to a photo tutorial are included.)

Double-Design Cuffs use front-post double and treble crochet stitches to create cables on half the cuff, while the other half is single-crochet ribbing. Wear these cuffs folded over the top of your boots with either side showing for 2 completely different looks for your boots.

Tractor-Tread Cuffs are the simplest and quickest of the 3 designs to make. This design is made using half-double crochet stitches worked in the back loops of the previous row. The resulting rows remind me of tractor treads or some other heavy equipment tracks. Depending on the yarn you use, this design works just as well for fancy dress boots as for your work-horse galoshes.

All 3 designs can be worn folded over the top of your boots, or worn as mini-leggings over or under your boots – lots or variations to try!

The pattern is 4 pages total, but is formatted so you only need to print 1 page if you just want to make 1 of the designs.
