Description in magazine: “Crochet a jacket; do it in a check pattern and you’ll have one of the snappiest looks around. These, below, can be worn over pants or with a skirt to make a suit. Afghan stitch is used to work the Bordered Checked Jacket. Yarn by Spinnerin.”
Sizes: Directions are for Small (8-10). Changes for Medium (12-14) and Large (16-18) sizes are in parentheses.
Materials: Spinnerin Germantown Deluxe or Deluxe Knitting Worsted (4-oz skein), 4 (4, 5) each Colors A and B. Boye afghan hook size J or size to give gauge.
Crochet hook size F. 3, 1 1/2” buttons, 2, 7/8” buttons, 4, 5/8” buttons. 1 1/2 yds grosgrain ribbon.
Gauge: 7 sts = 2”; 4 rows = 1”.
Finished Measurements: Bust (buttoned): 35 1/2 (39 1/2, 43 1/2)“; Sleeve at underarm: 12 1/2 (13 1/2, 14 1/2)”.
