Borderline is a diagonal striped baby blanket with a striped color sequence that reverses and mimics the sequence on each half of the blanket.

Borderline is a great pattern to use up left over yarn from other projects, but beware, if you want to mirror one side to the other, you may need more than you have on hand. If your intent is solely to use up extra left overs, use a random striping pattern for the colors.

You can also use a self-striping yarn instead to create a different striping effect – your options are endless!

Knit, K2tog, Kfb and weaving in ends.

Yarn
Lion Brand Cotton Ease (50% Cotton, 50% Acrylic; 207 yds per 100g) approx. 1 skein each of colors A, B, D, and E and 2 skeins of C and F.

A – White
B – Maize
C – Lime
D – Taupe
E – Almond
F - Terracotta

2 skeins of colors C and F were needed to complete the striping pattern. If substituting a yarn that is 250 yds+ per skein then 1 would be enough. I used approx. 30 yds of the second skein of color C. Color F weighed 100g after using some to complete the blanket, so only a few yds were used.
