This pattern includes instructions to work a knitted slightly slouchy beanie style hat using the stranded colourwork technique and worked from the bottom rib up with corrugated rib and decrease shaping over the crown.
There are 4 animal charts to choose from: Barn Owl, Fox, Hare, and Squirrel.
yarn:
2 Ply Jumper Weight by Jamieson & Smith
Fingering; 100% Shetland; 125 yds (115 m)/ 25g
approximate yarn amounts:
colour A - 45g; 190yds/175m
colour B - 35g ; 148yds / 135m
needles:
2.75mm (us no 2) circular 24in/60cm
3.25mm (us no 3) circular24in/60cm and DPNs 6in/15cm (crown)
gauge: 28 sts x 32 rows = 4in/10cm
measured over stranded stockinette on larger needles
Some knitters work stranded and single-coloured at different gauges. Change needles, as needed, to keep gauge the same throughout.

one size fits many; 21-25 in/53cm-63.5 cm head
