Introduction
This poncho is a simple yet stylish design created with two rectangles which are then sewn together to create the poncho shape.
The poncho is worked in the Herringbone stitch which can be a tight stitch, therefore we use needles that are a lot bigger than the recommended size for the type of wool.

Sizes
Size guide: a (b) c (d) e – the sizes are measured as in the picture below: Shoulders – height – length – side diagonal
Size a: 30 – 30 – 90 – 42 cm / 12’ – 12’ – 35’ – 17’
Size b: 35 – 35 – 105 – 49 cm / 14’ – 14’ – 41’ – 19’
Size c: 40 – 40 – 120 – 57 cm / 16’ – 16’ – 47’ – 22’
Size d: 45 – 45 – 135 – 64 cm / 18’ – 18’ – 53’ – 25’
Size e: 50 – 50 – 150 – 71 cm / 20’ – 20’ – 59’ – 28’

Yarn
400 (500) 600 (800) 900 g (400 (500) 600 (800) 900 m) of Alafoss Lopi or any other Aran or Chunky weight yarn.
Alafoss Lopi is usually knitted with 6-6 ½ mm needles (US size 10 – 10 ½) but for this project we will use 10mm needles (US size 15)
