Inspiration:
I have wanted to try cabling without a cable needle for a long time. Finally, the prefect yarn fell into my hands. This wool is amazing to knit with, the stitch definition is amazing and lovely on the hands.
Enjoy this beautiful, simple elegance. Dress it up or dress it down. A versatile and fun reversible pattern.
Why “Bos”? I am glad you asked. Yak belongs to the genus Bos and since this yarn Rocks, I felt appropriate to name is as such.
Sizes:
For bust 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56) in ; 81 (91. 101.5, 122, 132, 142)cm
Model wearing size 40 in (101.5cm) on a 36 in (91cm) bust, displaying positive 4 in of ease.
Gauge:
24 sts/ 34 rows blocked 4in/10cm swatch worked in St st on size 6US needles (4mm) Take time to achieve gauge, adjust needle size as necessary.
Yarn:
Yak Wool 1 ball=50g. approx. 328 yards, 300 m. Fingering weight, held double

Colours/Amounts needed:
Yellow 4 (4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6) balls Approx. 1200 (1200, 1500, 1500, 1500, 1800, 1800) meters. Note this yarn is fingering weigh and was held double. If using DK weight yarn, half of the amount is needed.
Notions:
• Size 4 US (3.5mm) and size 6 US (4mm) circular needles, with cord to accommodate sts, interchangeable needle set recommended with extra cords. Extra cords can be used to place sts on hold as needed.
• 6 stitch markers
• 1 DPN in size 4US (3.5 mm) and size 6 US (4 mm)
Skills required:
• Knit, purl
• Decreases
• Left twisted stitch or Left 1/1 cable
• 3 needles BO
• Long tail CO
• Picking up sts along the arm hole edge
Notes about construction:
Knitted in one piece, from bottom up to arm hole. Knitted flat from armhole to neck, shaping the neck and arm hole along the way. Front and back are connected via 3 needle BO. Finished with I cord edge around the neck and armholes. Cables can be worked using a cable needle as desired but are designed to utilize the LT stitch.
Left cable or Left twist can both be used, which ever method if preferred for the twisted stitch leaning to the left when working from the written instructions.
