Boscastle
This shawl combines two yarns. The beautiful hand painted colors of the Pagewood Farms Yukon are showcased in areas of stockinette, while the Swan’s Island Merino Fingering lends itself to the lace panels. A picot bind off frames the edge of the shawl and adds interest at the end of the last stockinette section.
Boscastle is a village and fishing port on the North coast of Cornwall, UK. The harbor is a natural inlet protected by two stone harbor walls built in 1584.
The picturesque village is a popular tourist destination.
The shawl as pictured used 400yds Yukon and 250yds Swan’s Island Fingering. You can substitute any combination of fingering weight yarns.
You will need a size 4 circular needle, minimum 32” long, or size required to obtain the correct gauge. Changing needle size may affect the amount of yarn used, so you may want extra on hand in case.
