Notes
The shawl is knitted sideways along the wingspan in a slightly asymmetric shape with minimal edge treatment, a modified I-cord as a inner border and a garter stitch outer edge.
The Slip Stitch Background is worked by alternating 2 rows with MC yarn and 2 rows with CC as indicated in the charts; the peculiar shape is achieved with different types of increases and decreases chosen and positioned to be as unobtrusive as possible against the two-tone background;
the cables are worked at the same time as the background shaping and a notation is given in the Background Charts for their suggested placement (see “KyoK” on Stitch Guide). Cables Charts only shows the RS of the work while the cables stitches on the WS remain unworked and are simply slipped; to finish each cable, when there are 7 or less background sts after the cable at the end of a RS row of Chart 3, work a central double decrease (S2KP) over the three cable stitches then cut yarn, slip the thread off the remaining st and continue to work the background;
In every color change the new color passes under the old color, and this applies both on the right edge of the background as well as on the RS of the cables.

Notes
少しアシンメトリーな形の左端から右端に向かって横へ編むショール. 上辺端は変形Iコードで編み, 下辺端はガーター編みで編む.
背景のSlip Stitch Colorworkはチャートに記載されているように, 2段毎にMCとCCを交互に編む: 2色で編まれている背景に, 異なった種類の増目と減目を目立たないように配置して独特の形を形成している.
ケーブルは背景を編むと同時に編んでいく, 開始位置は背景のチャートに記号”KyoK” (ステッチガイド参照)で印されている. ケーブルチャートは, 滑り目を行うWSの記載はなくRSのみ書かれているので注意する. チャート3のRS段でケーブルの後の背景の目数が７目またはそれより少なくなったらケーブルを終わらせる, ケーブルの3目を中上3目一度(S2KP)で減目し糸を切る, 糸端を残りの目に通して背景を続ける.
ケーブルのRSで行うのと同様に, 背景の右端でも色を替える際には, 新しい色は古い色の下になるようにする.
