This beautiful lace sock was inspired by and created for one of my amazing Boss Ladies, who fearlessly and compassionately leads our team everyday. She is also a passionate vegan who requested a pair of socks made from non-animal based fibres and I jumped at the opportunity to create this gift for her.

The sock looks fancy when it’s all said and done but in reality, it’s a very simple pattern, with an easy-to-memorize lace panel. The lace detail is worked once every three rows with the rest being stockinette stitch. The entire back of the sock is worked in stockinette stitch as well.

Sizing and Yarn Options:

This pattern was written for both Sport weight yarn and Fingering weight yarn, with sizing options given for both. Please note that it’s always an option to adjust needle size to increase or decrease final size of sock.

Construction elements:

  • These socks are knit from the cuff down starting with a twisted rib cuff that flows into an easy, repeating lace panel on the front of the leg with the back of the leg being worked in stockinette.
  • A heel flap, square heel turn and gusset are used for heel construction
  • Finished with a short rounded wedge toe that is closed with Kitchener stitch

I hope you enjoy knitting these as much as I enjoyed creating them! Thanks to my Mom who is always my #1 cheerleader and the rest of my amazing test knitters! And huge thanks to Laura for being the inspiration behind this creation! Xx
