I’ve always had a thing for fashion from the 1920’s, when they ditched the corset in favor of loose, swingy shapes. This knitted camisole was created with that effortless elegance in mind. Knit in a comfortable A-line shape, it hugs the bust, floats away from the tummy and the straps are placed so they cover your bra straps. Linen yarn gives it a lovely sheen and beautiful drape reminiscent of vintage lingerie. Paired with cropped jeans it has a relaxed, boho vibe, while worn with a cardigan and skirt it creates a classic feminine look. It’s a simple shape with lots of details, a versatile piece that’s as easy to wear as it is engaging to knit.

Construction notes: The front and back are worked flat from the bottom up in Stockinette stitch with lace panels. Side seams are sewn, then the edging is picked up along the top and worked in the round. Next the straps are picked up and knit, then sewn in place using an invisible seaming technique.
