Botanical Baby is a naturally inspired hat designed for a newborn baby. The pattern includes two different color charts-- one with flowers, and one with leaves, allowing you to make a gift for a baby girl or boy.

I designed this hat for my daughter just before she was born. It’s a quick and satisfying knit, and the finished object is just adorable!

The pattern is written for a newborn, but it could be easily adapted to make a hat for any size child or adult.

Materials needed:
Size 4 circular needle, and 4 dpns, US size 4.
1 tapestry needle
Worsted weight yarn, 2-3 colors (depending on what chart you choose.)

Skills needed: knitting, purling, k2tog, knitting with two colors, working in the round, following a color chart, making an i-cord, using DPNS.
