Botanical Impressions Shawl
This design is a celebration of simplicity paired with a touch of elegance. When spring is just beginning, the dandelion is often the first flower I see bloom. Most consider it just a weed, but if you look closely, it’s actually quite pretty! To me, pairing an easy mesh pattern with a light sprinkling of beads and a picot edging perfectly embodies the too often overlooked beauty of simplicity.
Worked from the point outwards, you can easily continue to work on this piece until it reaches whatever size you want, but I rather like the diminutive shawl as a light accessory to add just a touch of interest—kind of like those early spring flowers do if you only pause to look for them.
Pattern includes a photo tutorial for the first three rows and to illustrate bead placement as well as links to two informal video tutorials, one for getting started, and one for the edging, PLUS a color coded chart. Guidelines for making a full size shawl are also included.
