This child’s poncho pattern is written for sizes 1-10. The poncho pattern is a late beginner to intermediate level. The pattern consists of a botanical design which is very straightforward. A wonderful spring, summer, fall project. An I-cord edging is used which makes for nice finished edges. This project can be made with or without fringe. I embellished with a vintage pin at the throat. Techniques used include basic stitches, seaming, making fringe (if desired) and an I-cord edging. Two strands of worsted weight yarn is used.

Note: In the photos with the model wearing the blue poncho, I had not added the I-cord edging yet. I decided to add the I-cord edging so edges laid down better and for a more professional look. Decided to include the photos to show poncho on a model.
