This gift bag is great for creating custom gift bags for bottles such as wine or whiskey. Written for use with Dean and Bean’s Sock Machine. We offer two versions in this pattern - stockinette and a mock rib. There is also a pattern available using the Dean and Bean’s ribber attachment (published separately).

Worked bottom-up, we highly recommend doing a gauge swatch to fit your bag to the intended bottle.

This is a quick knit that also is a great scrap-buster project. We’ve found that the 60-needle cylinder will work well for most wine bottles; anything with a circumference of 10” or
less. For a wider bottle, such as whiskey, a 64 or 72-needle cylinder might provide a better fit.
