Bottle Gift Bag with Ribber
This version of our Bottle Gift Bag is made using the Dean and Bean’s ribber attachment with your Dean and Bean’s Sock Machine. It’s a quick project, and a great introduction to using the ribber.
You will use Juana’s selvedge edge cast on and working top down. Our pattern includes notes on doing a 1x1 ribbed neck with stockinette body, or a 3x1 ribbed body.
We suggest having the bottle you’re knitting for on hand to use with our gauge calculator (provided). We’ve found that a 60-needle cylinder will work well for most wine bottles; anything with a circumference of 10” or less. For a wider bottle, such as whiskey, a 64 or 72-needle cylinder might provide a better fit.
You’ll also need the ribber and corresponding ribber dial for your cylinder size.
