Bougainvillea
by Ilga Leja
This pattern is part of the All About the Yarn: Yarn Tasters’ Club--now available as an e-book.
Finished Size:
115 cm./46 in. long and 28 cm./11 in. wide
Yarn Requirements: 250 m./273 yds. of worsted weight yarn
A mesh-like stitch pattern combined with irregularly placed rows of Garter Stitch create a trailing scarf, reminiscent of bougainvillea.
Designed especially to make the most of a single skein of a luxury yarn, this design uses double yarn overs to create the open mesh-like pattern. The scarf is worked on the bias, allowing the yarn colours to be distributed in a pleasing fashion.
Add Garter Stitch rows wherever you like to create your own version of this pattern.
