This unusual hat’s shape is based on garter stitch, short rows and slipped stitches. The combination of these three elements creates a box-shaped, almost cubic hat with a fitting name. Superthick yarn gives the very fabric a sculptural consistency that, while retaining maximum elasticity and plush, keeps the hat in shape. The edges created by slipping purlwise with the yarn in front the first stitch of each row can be sown so that it closely resembles the slipped stitch columns that form the corners of the hat.
