Walking around my yard this time of year, I can’t help but notice all the acorns and leaves all over the ground. For the November Sock Club, I wanted a warm colorway with all the earthy colors of the season and a pattern with a repeated large motif—thus was born the Bountiful Acorn Socks! The lacey acorns quickly become intuitive, and knit up surprisingly quickly. In order to make knitting the leg more straightforward while keeping the motifs centered on the front of the sock, you’ll shift the beginning of the row by 2 stitches once you divide for the heel flap—it’s a slightly strange move, but it makes the knitting enjoyable and creates the best final product!
