Celebrate Mother’s Day, or any occasion, with this bouquet of Carnations crochet pattern. Carnations are the traditional flower for Mother’s Day in many countries around the world. They express love, fascination, and distinction, making them the perfect Mother’s Day gift.

These simple yet beautiful flowers can also brighten up a room for any occasion, and could even make a gorgeous wedding bouquet!

You can adapt this pattern to make hair clips or pin badges as well, instructions given at the end of the pattern.

Exact gauge isn’t important for this project.

I recommend using DK (Light Worsted) weight yarn, with a 4mm hook. You can use any type of yarn, I have used Acrylic.

You’ll need Green yarn and your choice of petal colours. Traditional colours include shades of Pink, Red, and White. You can also create variegated Carnations.

I have used 3 shades of Pink with a little Cream, mixing and matching with some variegated varieties, to blend the shades together.

You will need:
DK (Light Worsted) weight yarn in Green and your chosen petal colours,
A 4mm crochet hook,
Garden Wire (heavy duty),
Yarn needle & scissors.
