A feminine and delicate piece, the Bouquet Toss Shawl is a full-size, lacy, traditional triangular shawl knit from the top down with a cabled “applied” or “knitted on” edging. It features an intricate Japanese lace pattern in the center body. I knit the shawl using 2 plus 1/3 skeins (420 yards each skein or about 1000 yards) of Madelinetosh Tosh Light, fingering weight Merino Wool yarn in the Rose colorway. The pattern works up to be over 7 feet in length and is 33 inches deep at the deepest midpoint of the triangle. Full written instructions, row counts, and charts (shawl body section is enlargeable on computer only) are included in the pattern.
