Boutons is the quintessential brimmed hat. It’s crocheted in a chunky-weight yarn at a worsted-weight gauge, thus creating a lovely firm fabric with many styling options (brim half up, brim down, rolled brim…).

And all those buttons – ooh, la, la!

Boutons is worked top down in spiral single crochet. The pattern includes optional length adjustments for both the crown and the brim.
