Bucket hat with a belt woven through and tied in a
bow.
Gauge:
Hat Gauge - using 6 US (4mm) needles:
20 sts by 28 rows in stockinette is approx 4”
Belt Gauge - using 2 US (2.75mm) needles:
8 sts wide is equal to approx 3⁄4 inch or 2cm.
Pattern Notes:
● Pattern is written for 2 sizes - small/med
(med/large) where the brackets represent
the other sizes.
● The body of the hat is knit flat, turning
after each row.
● The first and last rows of the hat body
section are then stitched together using the
kitchener.
● The edge stitches of the hat body are
picked up and decreased to form the
crown, followed by the opposite side where
they are picked up and increased to form
the brim.
● The belt is knit flat, and then hand woven
through the hat holes to create the end
look!
● Only part that requires blocking is the
brim to help lay it flat and curl less.
